Want a quick dessert to make ahead of time, that will keep for days, that is easy to transport and will be devoured by guests ?
Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Dip
- 8 oz (1 block) of softened Cream Cheese ( Philadelphia is really the only way to go)
- 1/2 cup (1 Stick) of softened Butter
- 1 cup Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips (plus a couple tablespoons for topping)
- 1/2 cup Pecans
- 1/2 tablespoon Vanilla Extract
- 3/4 cup Confectioners Sugar
- 2 heaping tablespoons Brown Sugar
Graham Crackers for dipping
Place softened block of cream cheese and your softened stick of butter in mixing bowl.
Use your handy dandy mixer to combine. Yes my hand mixer is probably older than me, but it still works just fine. I’m fairly certain they don’t make things to last like this anymore.
Add in your confectioners sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla extract.
Mix to combine.
Roughly chop up 1 cup of chocolate chips. Similar recipes call for mini-chocolate chips. Those were not available the first time I made this recipe so I just chopped up some regular chips. We like it better because you get a mixture of tiny little pieces and full size chips.
Stir those chopped up chocolate chips into your mix.
Then transfer your dip into your desired serving bowl. I like this 4 cup Glass Anchor bowl because it can go in the fridge or freezer and it has a lid.
Once in the bowl. Sprinkle with pecans and more chocolate chips.
Cover and chill for at least one hour (or 15 minutes in the freezer if you are in a hurry).
Break up some graham crackers and you are ready to serve.
